The Top Home Inspectors Of Boise And Idaho's Greater Treasure Valley Area

Selling or buying a home can be a nerve-wracking process. Home inspections often add to that because of the worry of what may be found, or the stress of inspection discoveries that will need to be fixed.

If that’s not enough fun, the home inspection industry lacks the regulations and standards that help to ensure inspectors do quality work while homeowners and homebuyers get a quality inspection at an appropriate price.

We know all about the trials and tribulations of home inspection as our real estate agents and our broker get to experience them regularly. So, we want to help make the process simpler -- even enjoyable -- by sharing some of Idaho’s inspection companies which stand out for their customer reviews, certifications, and reputation.

Idaho… Meet your inspectors!

AAD Inspection

This company is the first of a few companies with a 5-star Yelp rating for Boise home inspectors. What makes homeowners and homebuyers so satisfied? It may be that AAD Inspection is so confident in providing quality work that they offer a 90-day limited warranty. And it probably doesn’t hurt that they offer a free return inspection for repairs made after the original inspection. Visit their inspection fee page to get an idea of what you will be charged for and how much it may cost.

To get in touch with AAD Inspection, call 208-338-9144 or email aadinspection@gmail.com.

Anthem Inspections

David Reish created Anthem Inspections back in 2005. He’s not only ASHI certified, but he’s actually the President of ASHI’s Boise chapter. Anthem Inspections does standard home inspections beginning at $305 with additional charges based on size, age, additional units, etc. You can view Anthem’s inspection fee form to learn more.

To contact Anthem Inspections, call 208-941-5760 or email dave@antheminspections.com.

Bent Nail Inspections

The price difference between inspection companies is obviously a big factor in the company a homeowner will decide to go with. But anyone who has gone for such “good deals” knows that a cheap inspection can be a poor inspection. And since poor inspections can lead to things like surprise expenses or lawsuits, cutting costs at the cost of quality can be a really bad idea. Bent Nail Inspections come with the owner’s guarantee, plus a promise to always be “jargon free.” That obviously makes them intriguing to home sellers and homebuyers. Of course, that also means that their inspections can be expected to cost more. But given their 5-star Yelp rating, that could be money well paid.

To get a quote, email info@bentmailinspections.com or call 208-471-4591.

Boise Home Inspections

BHI is another 5-star inspector on Yelp. BHI does both residential and commercial inspections, and they base their charge on a number of factors like size and age of home, inspections involving things like sprinkler systems or garages, and so on. Visit their page on prices for inspection services and pricing for a breakdown of what’s charged and for how much.

If you want to learn more you can contact Boise Home Inspections by calling 208-794-3483. And if you decide to go with them, be sure to mention BHI’s discount offer so that you can save yourself $25.

Building Specs Property Inspections

Building Specs offers residential and commercial inspections to Southern Idaho and Eastern Oregon, and they are a member of ASHI, IAQA, and ACAC. The word on the street is that they do incredibly detailed and thorough inspections that can make even a great home look subpar. If you want to know exactly what you’re getting into before buying a home, or if you want to avoid lawsuits or surprise expenses in selling your home, then this could be just the kind of inspection your wallet is singing for. Building Specs doesn’t have any information on inspection costs online, but you can get a price estimate through free online quote page.

For more information email info@buildingspecs.us or call 208-323-4900.

Capstone Inspections

If you live in (or are moving in) to the Southern Idaho area, then add Capstone Inspections to your list of potential inspectors. They’re InterNACHI-certified, they’re a member of the Idaho Association Of Home Inspectors, and they presently have an A+ BBB rating. They offer a number of inspection and testing services, though you’ll need to contact them to get an idea of pricing.

House Check

House Check was created by entrepreneur Dennis Conforto and home inspector Perry Campbell with the goal of bringing about some great new changes in the inspection industry. Given their Yelp rating, their clients seem to be all for it. Also interesting is that House Check  offers home warranty plans for homebuyers that don’t want to get whacked with Murphy’s law after buying their new home and suddenly have a pricey appliance go out. That could be useful!

If you want to get in touch with the House Check team, email them at info@housecheck.net or call 1-844-94-CHECK.

Intermountain Building Inspections Corp.

Here we have another Boise inspection company which serves the Treasure Valley and Southwest Idaho. Intermountain Building Inspections is InterNACHI-certified and located in central Boise. They don’t offer pricing information online, so you will need to contact them for a quote.

Get in touch with Intermountain Building Inspections by calling 208-332-4442.

Pillar To Post Home Inspections

If you prefer the structure and processes of the corporate world, then Pillar To Post may be up your alley. They’re a nationwide franchise with local Idaho offices  in Meridian, Boise, Idaho Falls, and Chubbuck. They offer three different inspection packages, but the prices aren’t shared online, so you’ll need to contact them to get a price estimate.

To learn more, call 1-800-294-5591 or find the number for a local Idaho office.

Randy Funk Home Inspections

Another member of Idaho Association Of Home Inspectors and IAHI-certified Idaho Expert Home Inspector, Randy Funk Home Inspections has been serving Treasure Valley for over fifteen years.
